This week has been full of excitement, nerves, and about a 50/50 mix of sadness and happiness. It all started Sunday, my farewell and open house day. Abby and I, who are leaving a week apart, both gave our farewells on Sunday. As soon as I got up to the pulpit, it suddenly hit me that I am going on a mission. So, I was able to fill up my time slot...somehow. Then, Abby spoke, and then the young men and young women sang the EFY Medley, As Sisters in Zion/We'll Bring the World His Truth. That song always make me get a little teary eyed anyway, but when I realized that As Sisters in Zion is about missionary work, I lost it. The spirit was so strong! It was amazing.

As sisters in Zion, we'll bring the world His truth. |
As Sisters In Zion
As sisters in Zion, We'll all work together
The blessings of God on our labors we'll seek
We'll build up His kingdom with earnest endevor
We'll comfort the weary and strengthen the week.
How vast is our purpose, how broad is our mission
If we but fulfill it in spirit and deed.
Oh, naught but the Spirit's divinest tuition
Can give us the wisdom to truly succeed.
That night, I had my mission open house (or my "YAY! You're going on a mission" party, if you will.) The turn out was incredible. It was insane to think about the fact that all these wonderful people came to support me. Quick shout out to the Senatobia Ward, You guys are awesome. I will miss you all so much.
Unfortunately, I didn't take a ton of pictures, but here are a few!

FUN FACT: Mine and Abby's missions practically touch each other. The two girls from Mississippi will be an English Channel apart from each other. What are the odds?

So those are the only pictures I ended up taking during my open house, but I do want to thank everyone who came.
On Tuesday, I had to say goodbye to my middle school color guard girls. I have been lucky enough to be one of their coaches for the last two months. As crazy as it is to work with middle schoolers, I really did love it. Teaching color guard has really been like a dream come true. It really was one of those times where I got paid to do what I loved. I'm excited to come home and see how these girls will be spinning after their freshman year in high school.
